I run quite a few older custom written software applications. On a Windows 7 machine I have to run them within XP Virtual mode. Works quite well. Custom 32 bit USB hardware devices run within XP mode fine. I also have a few DOS programs that will not run in Windows 7 but will run in XP mode.
