Thanks for the great discussion guys. I'm still leaning to upgrading to 7. For the person who mentioned making sure about backups, Yes, I have good backups all of the time. I worked in big computers for 41 years and completely appreciate having good backups.
If I were going to install Windows 7 myself, I might buy it from Amazon Windows 7 32 bit version. There are some good reviews on installing this version.
