That was a wise choice.
I run different versions of Puppy Linux and one feature I really like is the ability to slow down the processor which makes the unit noticeably cooler, and since linux is a faster OS, the half speed processor still out performs Windows.
And for those 'just gotta have' windows programs, Wine does a good job of running them in Linux. (Yes, Quark and Photoshop)
