I had to send Verizon an email from my AKO acct...which would not work because AKO thinks the Verizon site is suspisious. Ended up with getting a CSR on the phone that could make things work. Don't know what items it covers.

Not correct it is on the data not the line charges
Then you got lucky, because like The Texan I was only able to get the discount on one of the three "plans" I have. I got it on my old "family share plan" and it was as The Texan has pointed out only on the "base plan". I tried to get it on my data plan and my single line smartphone plan and was told it was not available for either of those. First it was not applicable to data plans and second it is not applicable to any of the "special" or already discounted other non data plans.
I think you might be surprised when you see the first bill.
