I suspended my Verizon $100 for 20GB/month hotspot plan while I tried out the OmniLynx plan, and I'll be reinstating it when the OmniLynx signal finally dies. I haven't found a better combination of price, data, and coverage yet. Even the $8/GB overage charge is hard to beat so far. While it's disappointing that the OmniLynx plan didn't work out, I do end up with the newer 6620L Jetpack basically for free, since they don't want it back. I'll move the SIM from my 4620L to it when OmniLynx stops and Verizon direct restarts.

I waiting to see what happens to my grandfathered VERIZON MIFI plan. I pay $27 a month for a 3GB dataplan... If it stays in tack and they only up the monthly charge by $20 I will stay with them. I guess this is the month all these changes are to take effect???

We use a Verizon USB modem and a Cradle point router. Runs $50 a month.

Sprint mobile USB. $65.00/month. It has been $65.00 a month not a penny more for going on 10 years now for me.

Albiet I am still blessed and grandfathered in with 'real' 'unlimited' data. :W

When they do finally catch up with me or the usb plug breaks I still think it is the 'easiest' way to have internet access while on the road. No modems, routers, boxes, no tethering to a phone etc. Just slap a usb plug into your laptop and go. And that means go 'anywhere' with your laptop because you are not connected to anything or have to be near anything. Laptop, usb plug and you have internet period.

Have never been without service full timing.

Now that's what I'd love, a simple easy to use anywhere situation, but Verizon appears to have the very best coverage for most areas we tend to travel in. Shame they haven't got a simple plug in to lap top internet stick. Sigh.

They do have a Mifi stick

Verizon is currently offering an 18gb a month plan for $100 . . . don't know how long that will last. Used to be their 15gb was $130 a month.

And they do now offer a USB 4G stick . . .
