Verizon in Canada
We are planning a trip into Canada.We may be there about 5 months. Any advice on Verizon cell phone use while there?

Call Verizon before you get to Canada and activate you phone for $15/month additional. Cancel after you leave. Nothing else like minutes, dialing will be any different. No country code to dial etc. It's almost like you never left the US. This is for phone only, not data.
ALMOST, but Canada has significantly less Telus cell towers especially the further north you go. But it works for us. On our Alaskan trip we just waited until we arrived at a town and used unsecured WiFi for the PCs. You can purchase a Canadian MiFi equivalent (I think) but it's very pricy.
