It costs you 500-600 even with the contract, that cost is just hidden.
They still offer payment plans that subsidize the cost of the phone. I feel it's actually more honest - calling it what it is, rather than saying the phone is free and burying that cost in the contract.
True enough - you still paid, but at least now you know it per month, and when the phone is paid (if it still works) then the bill goes DOWN that amount. I have one for $8... per month for 24 months, then it stops and the data/phone fees reduce x the $8 ... well, until I buy another phone. This is a Verizon phone.
