Op has win 7 home edition. I have no idea about updates (maybe once a month) until I get ready to turn off computer. Then when I shut off updates are either downloaded or put into right places, as maybe they have already been downloaded? At home with unlimited usage, no problem. When traveling I use Verizon jet pack with limited usage. 10 or 14 MB per month.
