Verizon or T-Mobile

I use T-Mobile (55+ plan. total bill slightly rounded 75/month. Unlimited.. Everything and fairly good service wherever I go)

Verizon... Well I've a "Thing" about one of the companies that makes up Verizon so I have not tried them... NOTE.. It might not be a legit "Thing" any more which is why I'm less than specific.

But I have a few folks I knwo who use Verizon.... not as happy as I am with T.

I had been with Verizon for a really long time but finally got bothered by my bill where I had two Android phones plus a MIFI and paid $167 a month.

I switched to Consumer Cellular where we have the same exact coverage as my old Verizon, don't have the MIFI but use my Android hot-spot for other attachments like our tablets, plus 5G, other, and all for $60 a month.

I'm too old to be stupid.

I've had T mobile for quite some time on their " Magenta Plus " deal which benefits me on my recent change to T mobile Home Internet at 30 or 35.00 a month instead of the 50 bucks a month.

We do maintain a "visible " phone on the Verizon Network (25.00) as a redundancy for times when our T mobile has no signal. We use one or the other as our Not Spot. I have an AT&T SIM card for the do-hickey come on the roof but only load it when necessary.

So in a word....Happy with T mobile!??as

A quick word on my switch to T mobile Home Internet. Prior, we had a bundle with Frontier communications for too long at roughly 170.-180.00 a month with a relatively slow fiber line(as fiber goes), home phone and basic TV( which I didn't need but it was cheaper to include it rather than getting the two options I wanted). Granted my current internet speed fluctuates somewhat depending on time, it still does the job. I also went with Ooma internet phone(so far so good).
Long story short......from 180.00 per month to 45.00 Per month.

My Visible phone arrived yesterday. I got all the apps installed last night. Today I will get the cellular part of it configured.

Verizon lost me due to their rate increase last summer and the 5gb data limit on my current plan, which is an old plan from 4 years ago. A higher data plan would cost more, and I'm not interested in spending MORE money on a cell phone plan.

Two plans, either a $30 or $45 plan for unlimited everything.
The $45 plan gets you international stuff.

We've been on the T Mobile "55 plus" plan for about 6 years now. We're very happy with the service, we do experience weak spots from time to time but for the most part it's worked good for us! 55 plus with T Mobile costs us $70/mo all in, NO extra fees. 50 gigs of data each phone, unlimited texts and unlimited talk. I now have a 5G capable phone and their 5G service is available in LOTS of areas. Love it! :B

On a side note, we just got T Mobile's 5G Home Internet gateway a week ago. Where we are right now (NO WIFI supplied) we had to do something or "burn up" your data on our phones. We decided to try the Home Internet, so far the gateway is working GREAT! :C

I have Verizon Visible for my smartphone, unlimited calls/text/data, for $25. month. Now $30. for new subscribers. And T-Mobile home internet, fixed location based, also unlimited 5G data now $50. month. Both have worked great with no issues.

We like it ... T-mobile - it gets service most places we need it. We do get out in the backwoods frequently when we don't get service, but don't expect it there either. We're on the unlimited calls and data plan for Seniors.
