I forgot to mention for both the OP and anyone else with an old Verizon “grandfathered” unlimited plan..I mean really unlimited with no throttling..
Don’t ever get a new device and new plan.
It is in Verizon’s best interest to get as many of the “grandfathered” unlimited plans closed as they can.
Get new device but be adamant about keeping your “grandfathered” unlimited plan.
These “grandfathered” unlimited plans sell for $1-1.5k via an AOL “Assumption of Liability” and paying Verizon $40 monthly after purchase.
I know I just purchased one a few months back and we burn between 200-300GB a month in data while full-timing.
