One of the things with T-Mobile is you can turn on roaming and it is free. It uses other providers cell towers. That is how they can claim they are close to the coverage of Verizon. I switched to T-Mobile from Verizon and although initially I was not happy (till they told me to turn on roaming) with the coverage. The cost difference if you have 4 lines is too good to pass up and you don't have to deal with the crappy Verizon customer service.

At one time Verizon Ruled when it came to coverage
Today both T-Mobile and AT&T are .. Well very close.. I suspect about equal though in some selected places one or the other may work but not all 3.
T-Mobile 55+ Plan
2 Lines Unlimited everything,, Hot-Spot throttled after 10 Gigs. All data MAY be slowed if tower is congested at 50 Gigs. and I burn abou 100/month. Do not normally notice the slow down.
Two devices (the other is my Mobly in which I'm not pleased) with taxes and fees (Michigan) 87 dollars.
IMHO, T-Mobile is a distant 3rd. It can be great in metropolitan areas and small towns, but get far from town or be on the roads between towns... not so much. I had it for a quite a while (for their "Binge On" feature and as a backup) and dropped it because there were just too many places we traveled that they did not have service.
