Just hooked up my new VERIZON jetpack...Ellpsis jetpack, being clumsy here, it took about 1/2 hour. Then it wouldn't work. Then re-reading the booklet, I had to call a phone number to activate it. Works.
My former and original jetpack, the 4510L, still good, lasted a good 12 years (maybe more), Will hold on to it...."just in case".
