Verizon?

Starting my 4th year of fulltiming and been using Verizon since day 1. I just don't think you can beat their coverage.

I started out with Straight Talk and a phone that used the Verizon system = $45/month. That may be a good option for you. You get the Verizon coverage and a cheap plan.

I have now switched to the new Verizon unlimited plan because I am using my phone to tether. For a single like me - $80/month. They use a sliding scale. For 2 or more people it's $100 plus $20 per phone or device. That's why you see the big advertising of $45 per line (4 people).

I was a Sprint dealer and had a Verizon phone because of use in the RV. Does that give you a clue to which one has the best coverage.

Traveling in almost every state so far the Verizon coverage has been excellent. Add a mobile amp and it can even be better.

I travel the entire western US for work. In my experience, Verizon by far has the best network coverage. You might pay more, but coverage wise, you do get more.

we actually have found quite a few places where verizon OR ATT works, but not both, along with neither. When verizon doesn't work we try our onstar phone which is ATT, often it works. but then there have been places where we tried to use the onstar phone and no service but Verizon had service.

In poplulated areas, high chance both have good service. It's the more remote sites that can be iffy.

Many of our camping buddies do like we do. Have both. One has verizon and the spouse has ATT, hence better chance of service.

In our case both of us have verizon, but we have the ATT onstar phone.

agreed. it depends on what area of the country but we fine verizon has better coverage than those with us with ATT or our onstar ATT service.

same when we go to idaho, montana, verizon has better coverage than ATT for the places we go.

For places with no coverage I can always dig out my garmin inreach and send and recieve text messages over the irridium sat system.

All in all we are happy with verizon. Also we travel out of the country quite a bit and verizon gives us canada and mexico phone and internet coverage using US minutes and when in south america there are plenty of low cost per day choices with verizon.

In south america the only place verizon was expensive was the Falkland Islands, but so was any other service provider.

I've been all over this great land of ours and Verizon covers darn near all of it.
