Verizon's free 15gig

I received that email. My understanding was it is 15gig of mobile hot spot and there is a deadline for use.

I went to that link and read the complete page
I got the impression it would be added as needed
If/when you reached the use amount of your current plan
That type of computer programming in the billing system
Would be easier to implement, than going in and resetting millions of accounts by adding 15 gb to every account

And I'm sure that you can use it
But the IT dept did not write the msg
They implemented program to carry out the additional Gigs to accounts that had a data limit
I'm saying you may not see a data number in your account status indicating the added gigs
The msg says you have 15gig more you can use

It doesn't say come look at your account and see what we did

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking like an IT guy, get it done as efficient as possible

The chat lady just told me that IF I run over my allotment, THEN I get to keep going with 15 more. We'll see. And how does that work? Do they show the 15 then, or I just have to keep an eye on my usage and calculate the 15 myself? I would have asked but it was taking forever to get answers.

It's a good strategy in that if they did up everyone's account by 15, then they can't take it back and they have to live with it. This way, they only do it if they HAVE to.

I appreciate the gesture, no doubt, but it does leave a lot of questions.

It makes sense that they only add it if needed. Only good from 3/25 thru 4/30. If they added it to your account wouldn't it then carry over any unused data to the next billing period?

Pretty simple to go to "My Verizon" to find that it has been added.

Yes, I would assume so.

Except when it is not there, like on my phone's "My Verizon" app.

My "unlimited" Verizon data plan throttles back to 3G speeds after 15GB of usage in a month. The Verizon site says that they will add up to 15GB of 4G data to my plan if I go over.
