Hi all, Is anyone using Internet on the Go from Walmart? I have not been able to get it to connect and was wondering if anyone else is getting service. The map shows that I should be good for coverage here in Hurricane. I haven't tried connecting with the hot spot since April and I still have almost 3g of data in the plan. I have tried contacting customer support but I am not getting any replies from them. The Verison store guy thought they were out of business. Anyone know? What other 'pay as you go' plans are there out there? Roy

If your in Hurricane, Utah the best signal I could find for Verizon was either in town or at the reservoir. We got zero bars at the campground even with a Wilson cell signal amplifier.

I have used Internet On The Go for about a year. It works good but mostly in populated areas. Call their customer support. They are not great, but they are better than most. For me, they are a good option.

I use it for occasional use. Just had to deal with customer service as I had not used it in nearly a year. Customer service was quick and effective. For my use, it cannot be beat- I'm still working on my original deposit of $45, after a year and a half.

Using it as I write this.....and have not used it for at least 6 months.

DA**n, I just signed up with Verizon for a 2 year contract. How much do you end up paying per gigabyte on the Walmart pay as you go?I'm a little ticked off with you guys. I made two posts about 2 months ago asking if there was a good alternative to millenicom, which had just gone belly up. Not a peep out of you guys. Thanks a lot, people.

I think Walmart does have a 4g device now but Not on Verizon......I could be wrong(hope I am really) but the Verizon plan is 3g as you indicated.

I dropped my verizon 5gb plan for a hot spot and bought a straight talk hotspot that uses Verizon cell sites. Except for the 3g speed, it works fine for the bucks, buy data as needed. Wife does farmville on it, slow but functional. I hear the now have a 4g hotspot.

I also use Internet on the Go. As said they use the Sprint network and provide 3G speeds. When "roaming" the main light will turn blue and you will not be able to get on the internet.

If you haven't used it since April you will need to log in to your Internet on the Go account and reactivate your device. I had the same situation recently and couldn't connect. I was told if you don't use the device at least once each month you will need to reactivate which you can do online and there is no charge.

Using "internet on the go" at this moment for internet access and I have Not used my 3 Gig's purchased earlier this year completely with about a 6 month gap between uses. No problem signing back on to the device.....wasn't that the question?

Just as additional info, Walmart is now offering "Straight Talk" internet which from what Ive read so far is offered on different networks. Walmart's Black Friday add the connection device on sale for 49.00 which could be used on a 4g (LTE) network. I thought I had read that this new Straight Talk option was also available on the Verizon network.

I found this...The reports for Sprint in that area are pretty bad..except for one report of good 4g

I want to know if the thing still works!!!!!!!!!

By the coverage map, there must then be Sprint towers out here. Maybe not, I can't connect to Sprint anything with the google search!
