Your existing wiring will support HD. I would recommend converting to SWM SL3 as you only need one wire to your sat box and can watch and record on your existing cabling and not have to run 2-4 wires thru your window.
There can not be any amplifiers or splitters between the LNB and the box EXCEPT for the Directv SWM splitter and the power inserter.
I would recommend a good tripod like from tv4rv.com. He has complete packages with detailed wiring diagrams.
