Not everyone agrees that storing all our info in the cloud is desirable.sherlock62 wrote:I am "elderly" and I have no problem using Google's cloud to make my technology much more productive. I now have a Google Nexus 5x phone that is pure Android with no cell carrier or phone manufacturer apps on it. What a dream compared to my previous Samsung Galaxy phone. Google's gmail, contacts, calendar, drive, docs and other apps are shared across all my devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop and PC) and are basically seamless. One logon username/password (gmail account) for all.
As for Google's GMAIL Contact Manager, if you have an android smart phone, you are really missing the boat / missing out, not using same. Again elderly, etc. especially, foolishly avoid using it.....

Neither does the fact that you like something make it a "good" idea. Not that good or bad have anything to do with it. More like benefits and risks.
Don't assume you understand anything about my use of cloud functionality. I shared a simple observation, nothing more.
Every tool has it use, and no tool is appropriate for all uses.
