I only upgraded WIN 8 on my Netbook, and not objected to many of the issues by others who don't care for the new interface. However, I have experienced some definite WIN 8 quirks that still need to be addressed, and not planning any more upgrades until at least a full WIN 8 SP is issued. I'm perfectly content with WIN 7.
IMO, much of the upgrade issues can be avoided by installing WIN 8, or any new OS, via dual-boot rather than as an upgrade. Which is what I've done, so can choose to run either WIN 7 or WIN 8 at startup.
