Weather Radio?
Was wondering if any one uses and could recommend a good quality Weather Radio for inside a TT. For a portable unit, I've been looking at the Midland 54VP2 http://www.buytwowayradios.com/products/m...

First if you want a portable, Most of them are all fairly good.. Often the local TV station or Fire Dept gives them away or has a deal with a local retailer for a great deal on a _make_ and _model_ and that is the one I'd recommend (Savings always good).
If you are not wanting a fully portable but a table top.. Any model that allows you the option of an EXTERNAL ANTENNA.. then you can roof mount a common Scanner Anetnna from radio Shack et-al or a 2-meter Ham Radio antenna.
WHY.. Well my pocket Weather radio says NO SIGNAL
MY TS-2000 (ham rig that can tune 162MHZ fm) Says S-9 (Nice strong signal) It has a slightly better antenna.
