We upgraded our entire entertainment system last year and have HD TVs and DirecTV genie and a second receiver in the BR. Everything works with HDMI cables only. This upgrade resulted in having to trash the BOMB, as it doesn't handle HDMI.
So the new system works great. We love it. However, on those few occasions I might want to watch cable or OTA, I can't do it without rewiring things in my AV cabinet.
How do manufacturers handle this today?
Since you don't need the BOMB any longer, you still need an A/B switch for Cable and OTA. Just put that where the BOMB used to be and you will still be able to select the input you want to send to the TV's.
I recommend the Radio Shack High Isolation A/B switch but any good high quality switch will work.
