Where to mount the Dish Receiver

Remember that the receiver does not have to be installed on a horizontal surface. It can be vertically wall mounted, ceiling mounted (top of cabinet) or most position that makes sense. I do not recommend any kind of a wireless connection between the receiver and the TV so plan to installing the receiver close enough to the TV that you can run an HDMI cable directly from the receiver to the TV. If the receiver ends up in a cabinet without a clear view the RF remote mentioned above solves that problem.
