yea my problem is space. we more than likely wont use the DVR as we are not full timers and weekend warriors.

The OTA tuner is not a deal breaker. The main issue is space. The cubby for electronics on the passport is TINY and finding a creative way to mount a reciever is gonna be hard.

We went with the K and the OF A tuner lets you record on one tuner while watching the other.

I have a K and a Z, hence the X2. I like the K better but think it's the older of the two models?

The Wally has the same Inputs and Outputs as a 211z, but the Wally uses the Hopper 3 interface . . . and the Wally looks cool.

However, for features, the 211k is the one to get for a simple two-TV RV setup.

One more benefit of the K model is that it has component video outputs as well as HDMI. Some RVs are wire just for component video.

Lastly, I have seen forum discussions indications that initializing the ViP211Z has been difficult compared to the ViP211K.
