How you use your satellite TV service makes the antenna choice. If you want to use a DVR or more than 1 receiver then the Trav'ler is a better choice. However, if you are happy with your current roof top crank up then you are likely not doing either of these. The dome, either roof top or portable, will give you the same type of service you have now, however, the signal strength will be reduced compared to your current 18" open faced antenna. This will mean the signal will drop out sooner during rain or if you have a couple of leaves in the way. Morning dew is the worst but it will burn off once the sun comes out.
