Why are GPS units so much trouble.
I bought a Garmin Nuvi 5 or so years ago that worked most of the time,but occasionally went beserk.On our Christmas trip to South Carolina,it routed us one way going south and another way going north....

I'll have to admit that I don't even carry paper maps anymore, and don't miss them in the least. But anyone who blindly follows the recommendations of their GPS is headed for trouble eventually.
