Why is everyone beating up a GPS. A GPS is not the "be all" "end all". It's a tool and a tool only. If you blindly follow ANYTHING you are going to do really well most of the time and you are going to have your "rear end" handed to you from time to time.
I love my GPS and I have 2, one in the RV and one in the towed. I use the one in the RV to remind me that I have an upcoming lane change or exit but I already know the route I plan to take. If the GPS suggests something else I simply ignore it.
I use the one in the towed to get me to the local Wal-Mart and I really could care less if it gives directions which are less that optimal. I will know better the next time or, since I am likely to be in another city the next time, just accept that as long as I get there, I really don't care!
