I also buy new and used phones on Swappa.com. Cheaper than through VZW and I keep my unlimited data. You can buy and sell phones as much as you want. Try a different phone every week til you find the one that suits you perfect.
Either way, it sounds as voice is more important than data in your case anyway since you have other data sources.
Yes I have the paid version. And Foxfi. It used to work as WiFi now only USB and tends to stop after some. More Everything has free hotspot built in.
