WIFI Camp Pro 2

How do I connect to a cg WiFi that is not encrypted but requires a password? If a connection is not encrypted then it doesn’t prompt for a password nor does the cg page appear for a password. On the other hand how do I get it to forget a WiFi? Keeps wanting to connect to the unencrypted WiFi.
  • Figured out how to delete connections. Just go into Hotspot settings and hit trash can. Duh!

Question on unsecured networks. If I connect via my Camp Pro with security are the devices connected to my Camp Pro then protected?

I have have connected to many Open netorks. ONly one ever bothered my systems. and since I was connecting with This very Chromebook.. "Fixing" it took like 1-2 Minutes

Settings | advanced | power wash | and connect to a differenct system when the prompt came up..

NOTE: files stored on my Chromebooks are frequently copied off because.... There is not much room on the CB's hard chip..
  • Frankly, I just don't connect to open networks. Not worth the security risk.
  • have you tried this On the System Configuration page, midway down, click the SITE SURVEY button. A new window will
appear showing available wireless networks. If none are displayed, click the RESCAN button,
or you can do a reset and start over by pressing the reset button on the bottom.
    does this help setup

Generally, it is as wa8yxm states: open a web browser and a portal page asking for a password should open. If that doesn't work for you, why not ask in the campground office?

How to get it to forget a WIFI network depends on your operating system.

If Windows 10, click on the network icon (lower right of screen) and open Network Settings. Select Manage Wi-Fi Settings. Click on the network you want to delete. Click Forget.

Connect. then open a web page. Should take you to the portal page.

NOW.. that said. I know one campground that puts Wi-Fi Passwords on the park info/map sheet... but the router is open, no password needed.

My Chrome and androids ask me to go to the log in portal and open it for me but my Widders box is not that smart.

Another "Trick" I have discovered.. one CG that uses that portal system I am unable to connect the housue since the router has no browser and it times out before I can get everything set up and browse to the portal.

My Phone has Wi-Fi Sharing. I connect IT to the park, and the house to it. Works.

Where I am now I connect house to park and phone to house also works.
