I had a repeater in my home and it never did work well. Good luck.
I understand the repeaters typically cut the speed in half when the signal is boosted. Of course a stronger and more reliable connection is needed first and speed is a secondary issue.
Campground wifi is best for basic email. No video and limited browsing the web. Some campgrounds will put a limit of block data intensive websites.
