After some issues trying to get several distros onto a USB (Mint Cionnamon, Mint Mate, Dlacko Puppy 5.6, a stable Zorin lite, and finally a successful Slacko Puppy Linux 5.4 on a 3rd brand USB stick (an old 1 Gb model), I am just amazed after spending 24 hrs on it. It gives good Mozilla (FF 17, anyways), and at 150 Mb size, it runs entirelk in RAM!.
I see much better what all the Linux folks were saying about a lot of things. I was able to set most fonts, cursors, and colors to see them. It's hard to believe it all sits self-contained on a stick that boots the PC.
I think its lightweight size leaves it feeling restrained and only a bit wobbly at times. I will keep messing w/ distros and continue using the XP for now.
That $229 Toshiba at BB righy now sire is alluring! (I won't!)
