It is not necessary for you to do a re-install. Windows 10 has multiple options to repair/reload when performance has reached a point that it is barely usable. It has been a while since I used it but there is a "Repair Windows" option and a "Reload Windows" option.
The reload has the same effect a re-install from a downloaded image or DVD, but it is much easier - you do no have to down load image files and then apply updates. BUT it will by default load the most recent version, so if you are intentionally on an older release, use it with caution.
