If someone knows how to turn off auto-update in Windows 10 I would like to know. I bought a new laptop for DW and I almost took it back because it was updating almost endlessly. Finally I tried a trick I had read before. If you set your connection to be a "metered connection" then the automatic updates stop in order to not use up your metered Internet connection. Someday Bill will find a way to stop us from doing that so that Microsoft can have total control of our PCs. Edit: And if you do a re-install there is a way to get to a Fresh Start re-install that removes all of the extra software that the manufacturer puts on the PC. That helped the performance of the laptop, too.
