Windows 10
Has anyone began the conversion to 10? Problems, comments? Do you know if it loads on top of say, 7, or replaces all of the older version? Thanks, Jim

Windows 10 is not scheduled to be released till July 29.
Exactly. There has been a "Technical Preview" (Beta) version of the software available for a number of months but the commercial OS isn't available to be downloaded/installed yet.
If you choose to upgrade to Win 10, it will replace your original OS but will keep your programs and data in tact.
WMC (Windows Media Center) that is included in Win 7, will be removed if you upgrade. Also, Win 10 doesn't provide any way to play DVDs so you need a 3rd party program such as VLC to play DVDs. You'll also lose games such as Hearts and Solitaire, desktop gadgets and support for floppy drives.
