Windows 10
Has anyone began the conversion to 10? Problems, comments? Do you know if it loads on top of say, 7, or replaces all of the older version? Thanks, Jim

My Win 8.1 laptop had the icon show up, can't say why yours didn't. Are all your updates installed?

Disabling the Windows 10 Upgrade Notification
You can block the icon from showing and disable notifications. Using the Windows registry editor, do this:
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx
Create a new REG_DWORD registry value called: DisableGwx
Give it a value of: 1 ...
Edit the registry to do this? I wouldn't recommend it for many folks, especially those on this forum.
It's much easier to simply rename the GWX folder in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
Should I ever change my mind I can just restore the original name to the folder and it will be back to the way it was.
