There are at least two different system restores in 8.1 and I will likely fire up a 3rd before long.. Different levels of restoring.
I have only had one program I've tried so far that did not seem to work.. I have not tried "Compatability modes" on my new 8.1 BOX.. NOTE there are some major differences in 8 and 8.1 (or so I'm told, never tried 8) and alas. they are not for the good... Windows has this thing about takign stuff folks love and ruining it.
Example.. If I'm on a slow connection I sometimes like to play Freecell.. Well on 8.1 Freecell is what they call an "APP" and takes up the entire screen, no way to window it. )@(#)$*#@$E@Q... (Thankfully there is an app for that however, but it costs five bucks.. I should pay to fix what they broke?)
