- HappyKayakersExplorerAre you trying to upload via USB cable or memory stick? The memory stick shouldn't be a problem. The USB cable might require updated drivers.
- Suds12ExplorerCable to USB There no place I can find to put the compact flash. Some kind of Driver would be good or is there a cord I can put the card in then connect to the USB?
- Turbo_Diesel_DuExplorerI had my 8.1 dropped and reloaded Windows 7
- MitchF150Explorer IIIYour camera should have come with a CD with the proper drivers to load? Or, I would think Windows should at least find it and treat it as an 'external drive' at the minimum.. Then, you would have to "path" your way to where the pics are.
My Windows 7 and even my old XP find all my old and new cameras just fine without any additional drivers... ;)
Sorry, I can't help with Win 8.1.. I will reject that OS for as long as I can!! :)
Mitch - downtheroadExplorerHere is an update to 8.1 from Microsoft that supposedly will support your Cannon...(go to the Link and then Scroll down for the download)
Hope this helps...

- 1492ModeratorIt appears driver support for your Canon ended with Vista. If WIN 8.1 does not recognize your camera with USB cable attached, then you can try installing the Canon 20D Vista driver and see if that works.
Or buy a USB 3/2 external card reader such as this Transcend Multi-Card Reader for CF cards, and connect to your computer via included USB cable. - Suds12ExplorerTried both. No luck yet. The canon site says I don't need a driver.
Do you think something like this would work. Sorry I don't know how to make a clicky yet. Thanks for the help.

For $20.00 I'd rather by a card reader, if I know it will work. All other ideas welcome. I will let you know how I make out.
Happy Camping. - eubankExplorerYou know, I used to use the camera's USB cable to copy pics across, but found that just popping out the SD card and sticking it directly into the computer was actually faster. Of course, your computer has to have one of the SD reader slots, but they're pretty common nowadays, so check it to make sure. It's just a tiny little slot, easy to overlook.
