windows 8.1
I got a pop up to down load windows 8.1 for free. Has any one else seen this and down loaded it. I am not to happy with windows 8 so I am not ready to just jump in on some thing that may make it eve...

This is quite an overstatement, I think, maybe. It will allow you to always boot into the old desktop, and shut down by right clicking the new 'Start' button of W8.1. It mostly still looks like W8, but gives a few more options for finding where your programs are.
It IS worth getting.
Personally, I wouldn't use Win 8 or 8.1., especially without having a touch screen machine. Win 7 does everything I need and I will stay with it as long as it is available.JMO
