Windows update before hell freezes over
Good lord, an hour and 10 minutes and I'm still seeing "Working on updates.. 24%. Don't turn off your PC." What is it doing.. downloading the Library of Congress ? I'm about ready to throw it acr...

"I'm on my Chromebook now, never has these problems as there's no hard drive."
Same here I more or less gave up on Windoze for most stuff (Still use it when I have to)
Set up a new HP 450 Gig hard drive for a young lady friend.. Then she lost or mistyped her password and we had to do a reset to new. I too her out to dinner while it was happening and still had to wait when we returned. but it was good cause her aging Dell was.. Dying (About a month later totally).
I've had to "Power wash" my Chromebooks and .. Well the sequence
Order lunch. Catch a virus.. Power wash. Back on line via a safe router. Lunch served.
