What VHF channels do you think you should get? What part of the state are you in? Most stations are UHF these days since going digital. I assume you have the power booster turned on, you have checked all connections inside and out. Winegard has an addon attachment called the Wingman but it is improves UHF signals.
I replaced a then 12 year old Batwing with the king controls Jack antenna and have had decent results with it. Others have done extensive test and have found the Winegard with the Wingman provides superior overall reception.
