Winegard Garbage

I had the same issue with a brand new tailgater satellite. After three months I stopped being able to get a signal, it just ran and ran but didnt lock on. After getting connected to King Company they told me to open the case(it would still be covered under warranty. Then they had me check the movement. It had a bad motor for one of the adjustments. I sent it back to the factory and they sent me a new unit. That was three years ago and no more issues. I guess having one on the roof and removing it over and over would be a pain....hope they get you one that works right!
