You need to verify the cable inside the rig first.
Look closely for markings on the cable. It needs to be RG-6
Check to see that the cable goes directly from the outside to an accessible point in the rig as the satellite must go directly from the dish to the receiver. Most of the time the cable goes to the power supply of the antenna first.
If you have satellite at your home, you could take a standard receiver from the house and use it with any dish that accepts your existing service.
