Wingard RM-DM46 & Directv H-21

Question

I just about have the bugs worked out of my first installation. The remaining concern is the lack of any sound when in the signal search mode. I have been able to get good numbers on the 32 transponders. I have normal sound from the channels. But when doing the signal search there is no sound at all, it is suppose to beep beep like the Dish systems isn't it?
I have the above equipment connected via HDMI to a Jensen tv which is connected to a Jensen radio,dvd player.

The receivers don't beep any longer.  It's a DirecTV issue and no one you can do anything about.  You can install a separate signal meter or you are going to have to watch, or have someone watch, the screen.

I have the same roof mounted/manually operated antenna.  To tweak the aim of the antenna to get the best signal, I watch the signal strength meter on the TV as I adjust the azimuth and elevation.  No need for sound, as the TV screen is right in front of me.
