Wingard X1 or Tailgater
I am looking at either the Winegard X1 or the Dish Tailgater. I know the X1 is limited to the western us. But what about the Tailgater? We live and travel mainly in the west.

The G2 and X1/X2 are very different antenna types. The X1/X2 antennas are for use with Dish Network only and do not require any 12V power. However, they are limited to using 1 or 2 211/411 series single tuner receivers.
The X1 and G2 would be nearly identical in performance but the G2 will work with DirecTV or Dish and with less receiver restrictions but requires a separate 12V power source. Neither the G2 or X1 will get as good a signal as an X2 (or an Anser for DirecTV).
