Every one above is correct. The only HD dish available on the market for an RV is the Trav'ler. If they promised you HD then they sold you the wrong product. The Trav'ler alone costs approx $1700.00 before install. Your carryout should have been run to the sat input jack near the rear of the camper. From there you should connect your Directv receiver to the sat jack located at entertainment center. Not sure why the installer used the DVD player either. Also I do not doubt that the receiver sold to you is out dated because I dont think there are any new standard def models being built anymore and Camping World is probably selling the only ones they can get. Wish I lived close enough I could get you setup easy, I have done many RV sat setups.
