To the OP, what you really need is an AMP HOUR monitor such as the Xantrex LinkLite / LinkPro or the Victron BMV712, or a Trimetric amp hour monitor.
Anything else is not going to give an accurate level of charge on your batteries.
The product you linked just looks at voltage and then lights up a corresponding number of bars in a bar graph, which is just a glorified volt meter.
