An advantage of the Bluetooth headset is that I can also use it with my phone, tablet, or laptop. My MPOW headset recharges from a standard micro-USB charger or USB port.
Just about any of the headphones listed in this thread could also be used with phone, tablet or laptop as well, anything with a headphone jack.
I'd consider the fact that the headphones need to be plugged in to be charged as a distinct disadvantage. I especially like the way the Sennheiser headphones I have charge simply by hanging them on their stand, no wires to attach/detach.
Using the existing Bluetooth service, I don't have to plug anything in to the phone, tablet, or laptop, or even the Bluetooth equipped TV or sat box. My headphones only need recharging every few days of use, and there's no special charging stand required that they have to be returned to. Think "portability"... - Clay_LExplorer

I recently got a pair of these for using with the TV: Sennheiser RS 120 Headphones. Very happy with them.
Me too. Have used them for years. They hold up well. :) - strollinExplorer

- Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerI have a Sony set from Costco. I am very satisfied with them. I think they were $89.
- bob213ExplorerI've used TV Ears for years. Got them at costco. (Look in hearing aid dept. if you can't find them) They work great for me.

The battery speakers I have are very great quality sounding...
My truck radio setup can also sync into the BLUETOOTH signals as well...
CCRANE has a FM Transmitter box that will re-transmit stereo audio out on the FM band for around $60 I think it is...
Roy Ken - Dutch_12078Explorer III use a Bluetooth stereo headset that pairs with either the TV or our Dish satellite receiver. If your TV is not Bluetooth capable, there are low cost Bluetooth transmitters that plug in to the headphone jack. I use an MPOW headset that cost about $35, but Amazon is currently showing it as unavailable.
- tvman44ExplorerOnly problem with the HF unit is that it uses the FM broadcast band, hopefully you can find a clear channel.
