Just changed my wingard batwing to a Jack head. Went from 14 channels to 34 channels.

I can't speak for the Wingman Sensar but I can tell you that no, the Jack does not detect channels. Based on many recommendations of other members here I also bought a SureLock signal finder (made by the same company that makes the Jack) to help find the strongest signal.
