You tube/roku question

I have added the youtube channel to our roku and it seems to work ok other than the user interface is cumbersome (have to select each letter from the on-screen keyboard).

What I would like to do is find the shows I want to watch on youtube using my pc and then somehow put them on my list or in my queue such that I can then access them easily when using the roku.

I'm pretty new at using youtube but I figured out how to sign-in and I have searched for the shows I want to watch (in this case the 'Escape to the country' bbc shows). Now I have that search list of the shows, how do I put them in a queue? Looking at the youtube menu items I see 'my channel' and 'my subscriptions'. Is it one of these that I would use?

Most of them on the list say, 'by Escape To The Country' but some of them have an individuals name or handle. In particular it appears that all the newest videos (3 weeks ago) are by individuals names. Why is that?

How do I subscribed to these shows?

Thanks

  • If you have a tablet or you can use your cell phone like was said earlier turn blue tooth on and it should find your roku then go to YouTube on what your using and find your show and it will appear on your TV what you do on your phone/ tablet will go through your roku to your tv

If you have a smartphone, apple or android, ROKU has an app that lets you use the phone keyboard to enter text on your TV/ROKU.

Multiple people can upload to a "Channel" on Youtube.

Somewhere below and on the left side of the small video window there is a red button that says "subscribe." Click that button. Now that channel will show up in "my subscriptions" and you should see everything that is uploaded to it.

"My channel" contains clips that YOU have uploaded.

Thank you. I have subscribed to some of the videos and will see how they work on the roku.
