You only need 1 gig to satisfy Verizon requirement for multiple phones on the share everything plan. The 20 gig hotspot covers up to 10 devices, so there is no need for 2 Millenicom accounts, as both smart phones can utilize the same hotspot.
We do have 2 gigs with Verizon so if we need to use their data, we can. However, have never used 1 gig in a month, so it is a waste of money. We do use as much as 15 gigs with Millenicom though.
