Does anyone have experience with Century Link? Since that is what I have at home, I would think it would be possible and cost effective to simply turn it off here and on in Yuma. But getting info in advance over the phone is like pulling teeth!
A general rant: Why aren't telecom companies regulated better? One would think it would be to their advantage to be a bit more informative. They never seem to offer clear information about their plans, so it is impossible to make an informed choice. And have you noticed that they all tout speeds "up to" some given amount? The phrase should be "at least". Too bad we don't have a federal Consumer Affairs Department with some real teeth!
P.S. to Bill.Satellite: You keep suggesting that I compare the offerings of various companies in the Yuma area. Well, that is precisely what I am doing with my posting here: looking for advice from folks who have been through the experience and so know what they are talking about!
