? Wastewater Tank Valve Lubricant?

Does this stuf do what it says it does?

Walking around aimlessly looking over the stuff on the shelves...

"Wastewater Tank Valve Lubricant"

Directions: after dumping, pour 2-3oz into toilet/sink to lubricate wastewater tank valve.

Price was something like $9.95 for a (quart?) bottle.
  • It is basically just coconut oil. It will also do nothing to lube the rod that opens and closes the valve....
Petty much it just 'wets' the knife valve seal.

    Certainly can't hurt anything.

And I just squirt some regular oil on the valve rod.
  • CRC the gate and the rod twice a year. Good to go. I do the gates, hinges and basement door locks all at the same time.
  • Pour some cooking oil or olive oil down the drain, it will probably do the same at a lot less cost. Spray lube on the rod or rub it with vasaline.
